The Caring Place, Inc., is a non-profit community organization dedicated to promoting wellness and enhancing life for adults who require assistance in the activities of daily living.
We fulfill our mission through two programs:
Adult Day Activity Services for adults 50 years of age and older. Its purpose is to enrich the lives of older adults by providing them with creative stimulation, unique socialization, supportive health services as well as respite and assistance to families and other caregivers. The Caring Place emphasizes stimulating, life-enhancing, and creative activities. Individual abilities and interests are an important consideration in daily programming and are included in our Mind Mentor program.
The Adult Day Center was founded in 1987 by First Presbyterian Church of Waukesha. First Presbyterian Church continues to generously support The Caring Place mission. The phone number for the Adult Day Center is 262-542-6388.
The Meals-on-Wheels program is a home-delivered meal service available to older, younger disabled, and convalescent people in the Waukesha area. Its purpose is to promote good health and independent living for those it serves. The Caring Place Meals-on-Wheels program is the only meals program in Waukesha County that addresses the specialized dietary needs of clients of all ages. Hot noon meals and cold suppers are prepared at Waukesha Memorial Hospital under the supervision of a clinical dietician. Volunteer drivers deliver hot noon meals and/or cold suppers to individuals who need these services.
The Meals-on-Wheels program was founded by First Presbyterian Church in 1971 as the first home delivered meal service in Waukesha. First Presbyterian Church continues to generously support The Caring Place mission. The phone number for the Meals-On-Wheels program is 262-928-2314.
Together these programs strive to enable people to remain as independent as possible when time and circumstances have made dependence on others a way of life.
